President Announces United We Serve

President Obama and the Corporation for National and Community Service have launched United We Serve, an exciting new summer service initiative, encouraging Americans to create meaningful change in their communities by engaging in service.  United We Serve kicks off June 22 at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service and will run through the new National Day of Service and Remembrance on September 11.

As part of this initiative, the Obama Administration has launched a new online portal, www.serve.gov, where organizations can list service opportunities and individuals can find openings of interest or develop their own projects.  Performing arts organizations will have the opportunity to participate in new and existing service programs as well as design new activities during this summer service initiative.

Visit www.serve.gov, where you can find all the tools to participate in United We Serve as well as post your own volunteer projects.
